Audience Member A bit of nostalgia of a well told tale. Rated 3.5/5 Stars •  Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member A lighthouse keeper in The Netherlands takes in a seal pup abandon on the beach. The keeper brings the seal home for his children as a pet and the seal quickly becomes apart of the family. Stationed at his post at the light house, the keeper quickly uncovers an illegal seal hunting ring. Now the keeper must work with his new seal companion to put an end to the ring. Sandy the Seal is a cute family movie. One viewing this film should not take the movie serious or as a true drama picture. The movie is a Dutch movie with a simple plot to entertain the kids. The movie does put a little light to the cruel practice of seal hunting for their skin. Sandy the Seal overall is a good entertaining film that receives four seal lions out of five for the message the film delivers and the cute family fun the movie appeals to.
