scott r 12/23/2023 This movie is a fresh look and makes it a bit Sensible. See more 12/16/2021 Is the plot cheesy and ridiculous? Yes. Is this movie a blast to watch especially among friends? Also yes! Every actor and actress gave 150% in this bonkers movie and you will have a blast going through it so long as you temper your expectations. I would watch this over any Hallmark movie during the holidays and the nostalgia hits hard with the leads! Also the main villain is also low key super nightmare inducing. I am surprised to say that I actually enjoyed it, despite some corny moments and subpar graphics. It is a cheesy holiday movie, nothing more, nothing less. Basically below average in every way See more r 9 12/14/2020 So bad, yet almost good? 'Santa Girl' has all the hallmarks of a terrible, straight to ½* rating film. Yet, somehow, I kinda had a fine time watching it. It made me laugh a few times, I'm just not sure if I was laughing at it or with it. It does feature two of the worst pieces of FX I have ever seen: one involves the Tooth Fairy (yes, really) and the other involves a sports car. The cast are up-and-down. Barry Bostwick brings charm as (the surprisingly mostly absent) Santa Claus, while I genuinely found McKayla Witt's Pep enjoyable. Jennifer Stone is meh in the lead role, she has a couple of alright moments but is mostly underwhelming; same with Devon Werkheiser (Sam) and Joshua Cody (JR). Hank Stone is somewhat solid as Jack Frost. I don't know why, but I didn't dislike this at all. But it's also, most definitely, not good so... 2*, which is actually a positive for this I'd say.
