Kristy Puchko Pajiba Santoalla is a true crime documentary unlike any you've seen before. It's nuanced, bittersweet, and haunting... Aug 1, 2017 Full Review Kenneth Turan Los Angeles Times "Santoalla" is really concerned with cultures in collision, with what happens when dreams of paradise clash, good intentions become unhinged and the darker angels of our nature gain the upper hand. Jul 27, 2017 Full Review Jessica Kiang Variety While "Santoalla" is a small story, its poignancy resonates, like an echo finding its way through the peaks and valleys of this windswept, eternal landscape. Jul 25, 2017 Full Review Dennis Schwartz Dennis Schwartz Movie Reviews A rewarding human interest documentary. Rated: B+ Jan 2, 2018 Full Review Mark Dujsik Mark Reviews Movies [A]t no point do [directors Andrew] Becker and [Daniel] Mehrer convince us that there's any legitimate mystery to be found here. Rated: 2/4 Aug 18, 2017 Full Review Amber Wilkinson Eye for Film Though the middle of the film becomes rather to languorous for its own good, a sudden late injection of pace and incident forcefully restores momentum.
