Savior for Sale has a lot of ground to cover, and does so adequately at best. Vitkine banks on our fascination with the topic -- which frankly should be considerable -- and ends up with a sloppy but watchable doc with noble aspirations of journalism.

you can tell how important a movie is by if it changes your behavior after you see it. after seeing this movie ive resolved never to see another documentary on a big screen. its like watching the a and e channel, only on pay per view, and the topic was much more boring than i would choose to watch at home. i have to admit, i didnt know this painting existed. i wish i had had the foresight to accept that theres some things im better off not knowing about. we already knew idiots with other peoples money love to use it to show how important they are, i didnt need to see a feature film about it.
