Scared Shitless isn’t necessarily going to be the most terrifying film that you see this Halloween season, but it manages to take a silly, gross idea and turn it into a story that has some great laughs and some genuinely heartfelt moments. Go to Full Review

Scared Shitless stands out as a rare indie horror that understands how to blend camp and sincerity without tripping over itself. It’s a film that celebrates the absurd while grounding its story in real emotion. Go to Full Review

Caldinelli and Cohen manage to keep the effort upright and amusingly ugly, creating a Troma-esque ride of peril and goofballery that largely charms, even during its most unappealing moments. Go to Full Review

[The film] does much more with sub-genre trademarks; while toilet-related shenanigans abound, this 76-minute flick knows how to take advantage of its brisk runtime to make the most out of its absurd premise. Go to Full Review

Hugo S Oct 25 A plumber and his son discover a repulsive creature has infiltrated the septic system of an apartment building, killing its inhabitants in the grossest ways. Both men are forced to get their hands dirty to save themselves from the bloodthirsty slug. Following a nostalgic trend in horror, "Scared Shitless" is a love letter to the creature-feature B-movies from the '80s. Blending horror with comedy, the plot is unpretentious as it prioritizes entertainment value over a sophisticated production. Simultaneously fun and grotesque!
