If you were inclined to line up a marathon of serial killer movies you could pair it with the likes of Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer, The Manson Family or Maniac, although you'll need a damn good shower afterwards. Go to Full Review

Schramm offers an effective look at the deranged life of a serial killer, the introverted pleasures of madness, and never once lets you forget what you're watching. Go to Full Review

Alison J Mar 5 It's a combination of artistic representation and surrealism. The filmmaker attempts to invite you into the machinations of a serial killer, while still providing an external view of the kill scenes. A tortured man tortures others, I suppose. Subtitles aren't always available, it's even weirder when you just have to rely on the visual cues. See more tom k 12/18/2020 I love these films that eff with your mind. See more 02/25/2017 Schramm is an interesting study of the mind of a serial sex killer. We see two murders from multiple angles throughout as Schramm replays the events over in his mind. There is also an uncomfortable scene of him hammering nails into his penis. The one thing I liked is that because of his actions of killing the Jehovah's Witnesses he had to clean up the blood, which led to him painting his room and falling off of the ladder dying. If he had not killed the JW's he would not have died, and would have been there for his neighbour who is now the victim of other nefarious people. Acting was good, although some developments were not logical.
