Jordan S The script and certain performances did feel very childish at times. What made movies like Zombie Island so good was that it didn’t feel like it was talking down to its audience. It understood that kids aren’t as dumb as we think they are and that they can pick up on some story and characterization without having it spoon fed to them. In spite of these complaints, I have to admit that I was thoroughly entertained. The main gang were entertaining enough, but the KISS crew really stole the show in their scenes. The music and action set pieces were also wildly fun. The more psychedelic scenes with KISS were great, I could honestly see the band starring in their own action/jukebox movie in a style similar to Heavy Metal.
