Dan R The Easter holidays bring with it more kids movies to watch with my boys. Today's offering was 'Scooby-Doo: Moon Monster Madness'. SYNOPSIS: 'When Daphne wins a chance to visit space with all her friends, it causes a rift between her and Velma. However, the threat of an alien beckons the team to get into action.' This film does exactly what it says on the tin. Scooby Doo: check. Moon monsters: check. Madness: check. As with all of these Cartoon Network movies the animation is fantastic, the voice cast great and the humour is non stop. Silly monster fun. Highly entertaining. 7/10 Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/26/24 Full Review Spike G Space scooby is pretty fun Rated 3 out of 5 stars 06/28/23 Full Review Shaheed B The movie starts off the same way as Taken 2, I don't know I thought of that when I saw the starting. It's such a coincidence that the winners to go to Space just so happen to be the Scooby gang, yeah something is about to go down. This movie shines alot on each of the Mystery Inc's personality and it's actually part of the entire story. There was alot of things that was happening but it didn't feel like a mystery investigation at all, even when the alien attacked and they had to go land on the moon even then it actually took a while to pick up on the story but when the alien attacked it was actually alot of action. It felt very different, because they weren't trying to look for the alien but to rather survive. One of the greatest scenes I have seen was when the hey had a battle against the aliens which I didn't actually expect the story to expand so big to a huge battle between the humans and aliens, which is actually one of the reason why I would say this movie should be seen if you Scooby Doo fan. The mystery on who was the person behind the mask was actually quite obvious to me, that person stuck out way too much and the story was trying too hard to make it as if it couldn't have been, so when it came to the unmasking I was like, yip...it had to be but the reason behind why it wasn't what I was expecting at all. But what I really like about this movie, when they unmasked the menace the story didn't end there like in alot of other Scooby-Doo movies where the police arrest them and that's the end of it, there was so much action happening after, it added so much more to story especially the ending when it ended on characters that wasn't part of the Scooby gang which I thought was a really nice touch. I think is a great movie, it takes a while to pick up on the story, once you reach the second half so much start happening that it gets really entertaining. I like how each of the member of the Scooby-Doo gang shine and you get a sense of each ones personality. The cinematography in this movie is actually really good for this type of animation, it really shines when they reached the moon and when Shaggy and Scooby was walking in the moon, the animated felt very solid. The sound was actually really good especially when they talked with the helmet on, but there was one to two scenes that kind of sounded flat to me I didn't hear the sense of the atmosphere of where they were and it kind of felt silent, infact it was very noticable. If you a big fan of the Mystery Inc Universe then this is definitely a must see, it's actually quite different compare to the usual solve the mystery story lines.
