Nolan M I may be biased but since I grew up with this movie but I think its pretty good. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/06/24 Full Review Dustin P It's a memorable Scooby-Doo animated movie because it's not the same old Scooby And The Gang unmask the predictable person masked as the spooky villain. Although it should be fine for most kids, this one is a little more scary. I don't want to give anything away, so I'll just say if you like Scooby-Doo, you'll probably really enjoy this one. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/07/24 Full Review Keith N Zombie island is without a doubt the most terrifying mystery/movie scooby doo and the gang have done Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/27/23 Full Review Fleegle B The greatest ever Scooby Doo movie. It has awesome music and overall it's a awesome movie Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/15/23 Full Review Audience Member Watch this one and make believe the follow up never happened. That tries too hard to spoil the fun. That the first Scooby-Doo to have real monster, didn’t really have real monsters. This is a classic that shouldn’t have been messed with. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 10/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Still can’t believe this is 25 years old I didn't bother watching the sequel since a lot of people were very disappointed The cartoon has been around for over 50 years but so many fans and critics agree this one might the best film out of all the many interpretations Scooby-Doo and the Mystery Inc. gang finish another routine mystery yet they’ve all gone their separate ways doing their own things; Daphne is a talk show host with Fred as her cameraman, Velma owns her own book shop, and Shaggy and Scooby patrol the airport for contraband Then Daphne gets an idea for a segment called Haunted America getting the whole gang back together; they have their sights set on Moonscar Island in Louisiana that’s supposedly haunted The woman who owns the house is named Simone along with her employee Lena Not only do they investigate the so-called ghost pirates but to their horror they discover all the zombies on the island are actually real! The mystery becomes a living nightmare as Scooby and the gang have to evade the supernatural residents and escape The movie for direct-to-video has great animation feeling cinematic, rocking songs by Skycycle, and good comedy A breezy 77 min but works amazingly well with a lot more effort put in than you’d expect And I love how it breaks from the norm too incorporating real monsters instead of the usual guy in a mask routine For this it makes it the boldest but also most ambitious approach of the property; it’s very grown up in nature dealing with death and vengeance It’s punctuated by beautiful creature design work and catchy music You definitely get a sense of catharsis after all is said and done as the story and themes are subverted here since fans are used to the typical formula the show has been infamous for A very good example of genre-bending combining silly humor of the show with scary content This was also the first movie I watched on Cartoon Networks Cartoon Theater Thanks to this film it’s what got me into Scooby-Doo a lot Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 09/25/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
