Audience Member Bittersweet tragedy of lives wrecked at sea. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member good ship wreck survival pic Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Fascinating tale of 4 stranded at sea. Love struck Richard Burton meets a nun and doesn't realize it. WE know it and he does not. Burton searches for this woman after their rescue and is told she is dead. She should be dead to Burton is the idea. All have nicknames in the film, Bulldog, Biscuit, No. 4 and Sea Wife. Sea Wife (1957) is a DeLuxe CinemaScope British film based on the 1955 James Maurice Scott novel Sea-Wyf. Shot in Jamaica, the film follows a group of survivors from a torpedoed British refugee ship. It is about a cargo ship jammed with British evacuees from Singapore that is sunk by a Japanese sub in 1942. Joan Collins and Richard Burton give good performances. The screenplay is a little slow in places. Bob McNaught did an alright job directing this movie. I liked this motion picture because of the drama. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member amazing film especially the ending - very melodramatic! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Pointless semi romance. The cast is set adrift in a raft and the movie just sort of drifts with them. Burton and Joan try but it's all just meaningless. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
