Steve D Not great, but Rains is. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/23/24 Full Review j f Civic-minded Gloucester fishermen thwart nazi u-boat scheme..! Harkens me back to glory days of the Bell administration, when citizens were patriots and everybody had a fresh pair of socks. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 06/22/23 Full Review Aldo G Another well shot film by George Diskant, and solid performances by Dana Andrews, Claude Rains and supporting cast makes this a worthwhile watch. The script misses opportunities to bolster some of the supporting cast and a MacGyver-type solution to the conclusion are its only flaws. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 06/08/23 Full Review ashley h Sealed Cargo is a disappointing film. It is about an American fishing boat that has a fateful encounter with a seriously damaged Danish schooner off of Canada's Atlantic coast in 1943. Dana Andrews and Claude Rains give terrible performances. The screenplay is badly written. Alfred L. Werker did a horrible job directing this movie. I was not impressed with this motion picture. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Interesting story (and apparently true). Dana Andrews and Claude Raines deliver good performances but the story moves very slowly. Worth watching for the interesting historical interest but not a great film. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Came across on morning TV and was hooked. Atmospheric thriller with a touch of noir. Newfoundland setting is different from the norm. Has both character and action. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
