Steve D Perhaps Fred's worst. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 06/26/23 Full Review deke p Entertaining. Young BURGESS MEREDITH still looked like his old man self decades later. ASTAIR great, but almost half bald, hard to believe him as a collegian. PAULETTE GODDARD, so that's who she is. But the plot was kind of silly. And ARTIE SHAW as himself. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Most of the comments and reviews here are accurate. All you need to do is pull up on YouTube the Fred and Paulette dance number "Dig It." That short dance number from this otherwise workaday film is fun to watch. Fred Astaire makes every move, every individual tap into fluid art. Pretty Paulette Goddard enjoys every spin. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member The plus to this movie is that it was so short! I didn't understand how time passed in the movie so I kept getting confused. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Pretty bad Astaire musical. Ridiculous story that goes nowhere. Paulette Goddard looks beautiful, at least. Everyone's wasted here; for a musical it's pretty weak, Astaire and Goddard only dance together in one quick dance. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Not an Astaire classic, but it's enjoyable enough. Fred Astaire and Burgess Meredith are musicians trying to get a spot in Artie Shaw's band, while at the same time woo Paulette Goddard. There aren't that many dance numbers, but it's reasonably entertaining and never dull, which is about parr for the course with musical romantic comedies. I've always liked Paulette Goddard and thought she should have been a bigger star, so that may have increased my enjoyment factor more than it would for others.
