Lydia D Outstanding for its subject and vintage photography and film. Stephen Rea reads (beautifully) selections from Roger Casement's account of Spanish and Portugese bosses' atrocities against South American indians, perpetrated to serve the rubber industry. The documentary goes on to describe Casement's fight against imperialism in his own country, Ireland, and how he died for freedom there. This man and his story should be more widely known, as should be the reasons for his growing outrage on behalf of SA indians. Captions needed for non Spanish and Portugese speakers.
