Audience Member After God informs Kanou that the world is ending, the protagonist begins living the last days of the world how he wants. Settling a score with a bully, running away with his crush, and stealing a car are just the beginning. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Being a low budget, independent film, The Last Days of the World was able to deliver with a great movie and great story. Jyonmyon Pe was able to make his character monotone, but very likable, a character you want to see more of. The only thing about this film is the fact that the special effects were ancient and you never really found out if the world was really drawing to a close or everything was just in Kanou's head? Same goes with Yumi's death, it's something left out of the film! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Its a weird and pointless movie about a psychopath's fantasies of murder and rape. Its also pretty pointless as out meanders and ends up nowhere. The journey is fascinating but with such a non-ending having watched this movie could almost be described as regrettable. Its not completely devoid of all creativity and points of interest, you might be able to get something out of it but I do not recommend watching it. Don't be fooled by the artwork on the cover, nothing cool happens. Personally, if I really believed that the world was going to end, I think I'd try to do something a little more interesting than this. And if I made a movie about it, I'd give characters arcs instead of just cutting them off and never coming back to them. Maybe try to you're them into one another...maybe even try to make a point...
