Logesh Balachandran The Times of India Kovai Sarala's intense performance is a treat to watch. She has done great justice to the role and carries the film on her shoulders. Rated: 3/5 Nov 16, 2023 Full Review Bhuvanesh Chandar The Hindu Sembi, featuring the likes of Kovai Sarala, Thambi Ramaiah and Ashwin Kumar, fumbles occasionally but ends up instilling hope through a fairly engaging good-vs-evil story. S K Kovai sarala and Nila (Sembi) acting performance was great. Superb movie Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/04/24 Full Review Views Of C Sembi - 7.5/10. Sembi happens to be the new film from Prabhu Solomon, whose directed some really solid movies before like Mynaa, Kumki, and also Kayal. Sembi tells a story that we've seen many times before, but the reason it works is due to the performances of Kovai Sarala in particular, and Ashwin. Kovai Sarala does an incredible job here, showing anguish and pain like we've never seen her before, and she shows that she needs more dramatic roles like this moving forward. Its nice to see Ashwin doing a good role here, and this is by far his best performance in his early career so far. Though some of the comedic moments in the second half are kind of unneeded (they are not huge moments in general), this is a good movie that turns a thrilling turn near the end to keep the audience engaged. A good movie overall! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 08/29/23 Full Review Raj The Main concept of the story is super but the way of making is more cinematic and some cringe scenes are there.
