Not only is the idea so far out to be only fiction, it is so sadly executed that you can be pardoned for thinking Will Smith has remade Hancock, with less booze, more heart but as many powers and apparently as much grief.

I genuinely cannot understand the critics opinions - this film really touched me. I thought it was beautiful and very thought provoking. The acting was beautiful and very heartfelt. Will Smith conveyed so many emotions, at times, without saying a word. His facial expressions almost make you feel as though you can hear his internal monologue. It’s very human. I was glued to the screen from the start and still wanting to know more after the end of the film. I also think it’s very telling of his behaviour, his daily interactions showcase how difficult it is to tell when someone is in a difficult place mentally. I thoroughly enjoyed this film.

...I just didn't have the heart to sit through this one in its entirety. Will Smith's performance as the lead is certainly committed, but the script didn't give him enough material to work with - much like "Collateral Beauty" several years later. The story didn't feel all that intriguing to me either, and while I give it props for originality, it still leaves so much to be desired.

If you want a heart wrenching movie, then this is it. If you are not crying by the end, then you are not human. One of Smiths most underrated performances. In fact, everyone in this movie is absolutely incredible. You can really tell that it meant something to them, or to someone they cared about. This is my 5th watch and it’s incredible how each conversation had in the movie hits different with each watch. Great movie, the critics are ignorant.
