Audience Member lost again the review that is Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Such a sweet movie... you dont know whether to laugh or cry: A womanizing husband leaves his "sinless" wife because she is "too good." The wife then decides to commit the ultimate sin to get her husband back by sleeping with all the townsmen. But her plan backfires when even her sex with strangers turns into something "saintly." Reminds me of LIKE WATER FOR CHOCOLATE. Watch it if you like GGMarquez or IAllende books. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member puta ou santa??genial. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member A town in rural Spain has a pride and joy they can't hide, in the face of Dolores, the most generous woman on earth, who has never committed a sin, and who everyone considers to be a Saint. When her husband, Manolo, decides to abandon her, Dolores assumes the name 'Lolita', and proceeds to making love to problematic men, out of compassion. She quickly becomes the consolation of every tormented couple in town. All of them seem to find a restored balance in their relationship becaues of Lolita's unprecedented ability to love. When Manolo comes back, will he accept Dolore's change to Lolita, or will he put an end to everything? Laura Mana directs this social commentary with a geniune sense of humor, and explores the issue of love and ethics in a very refreshing way. What he fails to do, is to deliver a film that offers a realistic ending: by succumbing to the "happily ever after" easy solution, he undermines what he has so carefully built. Unfortunately human societies have repeatedly proved that they would rather have a dead saint among their ranks, than a truly happy anarchist....
