Audience Member I'm not sure if the reactions to an interracial marriage in the 50's were correct. Also the lesbian couple. Yes it happened but I'm not sure of the reactions of the English. I can say for sure if it was an american ship the story would have had to tackle different issues then just a love story and an art thief. I don't know if they just made it a nice world for the movie or if the english were that liberal at the time(which I doubt). It's a cute story, nothing boring, nice little romance with a little extra thrown in. I'm not big on romances but it was done well and the lead actress did a good job.
