This movie is the text-book definition of how realistic and powerful movies can be. Rajkumar rao has to prevent the growing numbers of unprecendented, illegal & hostile criminal operations that put innocents lives at jeopardy. Best debut movie in its repective decade. A must watch.

'Shahid' carries a realism that was once all too rare in Hindi cinema, but is now more common thanks to films like this that paved the way. Somewhere between 'Pink' and 'Court', it combines an unflinching look at the legal system with some compelling courtroom drama.

I wished 'Shahid' wasn't so much about the courtroom drama as much as it is about the real life. But it is powerful as it is gritty and stunning as it is persuasive. Rajkumar Rao commands when he is on screen, and ensures that Hansal Mehta's strong script is brimming with life and style. That's my idea of powerful and important cinema.

This movie is brilliant work - among the money rolling Bollywood industry - by hansal mehta & team. This movie is a revolutionary piece of art. It revels the bitter fact behind the Indian democracy. This movie frames the injustice & hatred against Muslims in India. moreover it is based on a true story of Adv. SAHID AZMI who has executed by BJP goons (Current Ruling party of India). Shahid azmi faced a lot of discrimination due to his Islamic identity. finally he made himself a lawyer and has fight against evil. he has saved 17 innocent mens including victim of Mumbai blast, 2008.
