Synopsis
This documentary catches up with troubled singer-songwriter Shane MacGowan, the former front man of punk band the Pogues. Through new and old footage of live performances, conversations with MacGowan's loved ones and archival clips of noteworthy supporters like Elvis Costello, director Sarah Share shows MacGowan's drive to maintain his career in music while also chronicling the rise and fall of his beloved band and digging down to its self-destructive, speech-slurring center.
