Audience Member I like most Holmes' movies and this one is one of the best I have seen. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member Made for TV Sherlock Holmes adventure in which Professor Moriarty escapes the gallows, steals a MacGuffin from the British government and kidnaps Mycroft Holmes in order to decipher it. Fine actor though he was, I don't think Edward Woodward would be anyone's first choice as Sherlock Holmes, and the same might be said of John Hillerman's Watson. The action scenes are terrible but the production values are reasonably high and a decent supporting cast prevents this from being a complete waste of time. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Audience Member Poor script, but also a Sherlock Holmes movie with a very straight-laced cast who inject no charisma into the popular set of characters. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member This is a wonderful example of how good actors can make a bad movie. I hope the scenery was made of something tasty, because all of the actors were chewing it up. The plot devices were transparent, the dialog stilted and the story line contrived. It was painful to watch. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Read all reviews
