Shirin isn't believable either as a product of her parents or as a romantic interest for either Mike or William, and since the movie can't sell those core relationships, it can't convince us of anything.

This movie is a Persian version of "The Room" with less of a cult following and a horrendous lack of kabobs. 2 stars for the emphasis on the protagonist being a poor driver and a lightweight. Minus three stars for the amount of hashish it took to come up with this film. Maz Jobrani probably owed his director "refigh" a favor.

This is a guaranteed good time if you enjoy romantic comedies like "When Harry Met Sally" and "Bridget Jones' Diary". The star is gorgeous, the leading man just butter, and the characters around the couple are so well played, tom the overbearing LA Iraninan mother, and quiet wise father, to Officer Henderson played by George Wallace. I love the touches of Iranian culture in the US, which adds to the film's charm, but the main this is a girls' night film GUARANTEED to make you feel good.
