Audience Member LOVE this movie.. takes me back to high school, summer nights. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review markus m The acting is off, the plot makes no sense, and the portrayal of the one black person in the film is one of the more over-the-top racist things I've seen in a film in a while. But the whole hair metal thing the film has going on is awesome, and despite the film not being good it's still really fun to watch. Heck, I'll probably wind up watching it again. Hilariously dumb is the best way to describe this film. 5,8/10 Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member It started off promising, but slowly faded near the third act when it became a real snoozer. It's a basic USA Up All Night type of movie and has that appeal as so bad it's good, but nothing particularly special. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Hard to review this one. Giving it 1 star would imply I didn't enjoy it which is not the case. This movie is uproariously funny. Giving it a favorable review would be wrong also because it's a terrible movie. Watch with a group of friends. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member A nerd loses his job, gets evicted, and fails at a guitar audition all in one day. Along the way he meets a Voodoo priestess (Estelle) to whom he sells is soul in exchange for becoming a famous metal guitarist (ala Faust, Paganini, Robert Johnson, et al). He soon learns in order to stay alive, he has to kill other people. Michael Angelo Batio provides the guitar work, Traci Lords is a prude, and Aldo Ray performs in his final role as a pizza shop owner. A very funny dig at Ozzy is included. I'm extremely surprised I'd not heard of this until now! http://www.veoh.com/watch/v370162ne779aZZ Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member Surprisingly amusing hair metal horror that would make a good double feature w/ Trick or Treat @ Halloween. It's actually much better then a cross over Traci Lords movie deserves to be. Sure it's 3rd rate but the cast is likeable, it has a good pace & it never denies what it is. I found it to be a little nugget for cheesy horror fans. Truthfully just an updated version of the Faust legend but is @ least smart enough to keep its tongue planted firmly in its cheek that its script was amusing & not self aware. Plus it's the embodiment of cock rock w/ lots of sugar boobies but sadly Lords days of showing her goodies were behind her. Oh well there's plenty of titty to go around Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Read all reviews
