Audience Member Psychological insight traded for astonishingly dull costume "drama", laughable dialogue and costumed talking heads. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member Doco/reenactment based on the diary of a respected German judge who was placed in a asylum yet was coherent enough to argue the difference between being mentally ill and a threat to society. Lots of talking heads and well acted but could have drawn out the issues better. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member An original depiction of mental illness, using interviews with contemporary psychiatrists, a dramatisation of an historical case of schizophrenia, journal readings and even computer animation. It requires patience, and is definitely not for all tastes, but there is much to admire. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Self indulgent scheizenhousen... walked out after about half an hour. Acting is unbelieveable, robotic and unrealistic. It had the sense that a second year psychology student had been asked to write a screenplay, weaving in a list of terms they had learnt that semester, and gotten their actors to deliver it down the camera with the aid of an auto cue. Each scene drawn out way too long. This review has already devoted more words than the film was worth. We were not the only ones to walk out.... and the director was present!!
