Audience Member Well worth a watch thank you’ll like it James Welch, Harrison, Arkansas March 23, 2023 Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/23/23 Full Review Audience Member This is a western for western fans. Some prefer the vigorous B western star vehicles of the 30s and 40s. This is the sort of western they did in the 50s trying to be taken more seriously, a B picture trying to be an A picture. In hindsight it can seem to be taking itself too seriously. But if you can forgive the corn of the 30s you can take the sincerity of these 50s films. If so you'll enjoy the storytelling. The actors have actual characters to play. John Carradine is a stand out. Bronson shows he should've been a star sooner. Good Picture. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member I enjoyed this movie. I wish I could find a list of the songs in it. The film itself is a heart warming, cowboy gets the girl type of story. Classic!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member Very different than most westerns of the time. Rather than centering on action, Showdown at Boot Hill takes its time to develop characters and is, indeed, more of a character study than a straight western. The acting is not always great, but is at all times decent. Bronson, in a very early lead role, shows great range and his performance here foretells why he became a big star. Definitely worth watching. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member A decent Western with Charles Bronson in his first starring role. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member 150814: Nothing in particular is worth mentioning. It just passes the time.
