Audience Member Stylistically, this is a bit awkward compared to other Maysles's films. The narration is unnecessary and the editing isn't always graceful. Still, it's an interesting portrait of a past era of Hollywood that follows legendary mega producer Joseph E. Levine. After watching it, I almost felt nostalgic for its vision of a pleasantly administered and marketed Hollywood. In 1963, this may have played as a de-romanticized look behind the scenes of the film industry, but in our post Star Wars era it seems charming and quaint.
