Courtney Howard Variety 10/18/2023
On paper, it contains admirable notions about adult female friendships and the need to maintain that vital bond. In execution, however, those stirring sentiments are tested by taxing hijinks. Go to Full Review

Sick Girl appeared anemic in its depiction, never truly ready to commit to the humor or drama aspects of its narrative. While it has it s moments of genuine emotional connection, the film feels sluggish in presentation. Go to Full Review

The cast is talented and the story has potential, but the end result is merely lukewarm. Go to Full Review

In Wren's case, she takes it too far, to a place that's so wrong, it's actually extremely insensitive. Go to Full Review

The frantic humor clashes with the disingenuous moralizing, and even the prospect of a fatal disease can't make any of these characters endearing. Go to Full Review

It’s not the ethically dubious premise as much as the ambivalent execution that dooms this otherwise spirited comedy about female bonding and arrested development. Go to Full Review

Summer E 03/11/2024 I would give 0 stars just for the plot line. Who fakes having cancer?? That's unforgivable. She had so many chances to come clean and no good reason not to. Change the entire plot it could even be a good movie. I've got a dark sense of humor but this movie wasn't funny. Not my choice to watch, and I gave it my full attention in hopes it would be alright. Movie critics are right with this one. Director should have never. See more Jimena B 10/20/2023 Jennifer Cram got off to a good start directing. Obviously this movie has nothing new, it is a formula that has been used before but it is entertaining. I really liked the cinematography of the film. Nina Dobrev's performance is admirable, she played Wren Pepper very well. See more DeltaGamma P 10/20/2023 For Jennifer Cram's directorial debut, it's fine. It is not a work that deserves an Oscar but it is a good film with good performances. For a low budget independent film it's good. I loved the cinematography of the film. See more Read all reviews
