Isa B Silent Rage is one of the more entertaining bad movies of the 1980s. Chuck Norris is Chuck Norris! Despite my low rating, I do recommend this film. 19/100 Rated 1 out of 5 stars 12/01/24 Full Review Space C Most of the writing ruins the potential of a good plot. The deputy is as useful as hip pockets on a singlet and despite the main doctor/scientist being a moron, I can appreciate an evil character but he does more stupid things than evil things so his character isn't too crash hot either. The love interest, Allison (Toni Kalem) is also stupid. She contradicts herself, screams a lot and just stands there like a broken scarecrow, all limp and useless like. Doctors Tony and Paul (Silver and Finley) know their lab experiment zombie patient heals quickly and essentially can't be killed but still actively tried to kill him and ended up dead. Whack. Content expanded. Poster for Bad Boys: Ride or Die Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 08/03/24 Full Review Audience Member The one and only Chuck Norris vs a sort of Frankenstein-esque antagonist A murderer John Kirby loses his mind one day using an axe and the sheriff Dan Stevens brings him down Kirbys body is then donated to science with three doctors using a special drug It has special properties even bringing the dead back to life...this proves to be a fatal mistake as Kirby is resurrected From then on he starts a killing spree with Dan attempting to stop him once and for all Ordinarily this would be a horror movie scenario meets classic monster movie, it sounds pretty B-movie related But the filmmakers avoid the cheesy factor making the experience pretty fun Chuck Norris meets his match fighting an enemy that he can't bring down Perhaps too much emphasis on Dans romance could've been trimmed down Getting to the kills faster and not focusing too much on the doctors self-absorbed hubris of perfecting man would've been nice too The whole rivalry of Norris vs this resurrected killer is the major selling point The ending is where things get very exciting despite the rest of the film feeling like a slog to get there The most dedicated Chuck Norris fans will love this For everyone else it's a passable action chiller blending two elements you wouldn't normally see together Rated 3 out of 5 stars 04/03/24 Full Review David W A Chuck Norris actioner with elements of sci-fi and horror. It's a very watchable movie that fans of the great man will gobble up. It was obviously an attempt by the studio to move Chuck into a more mainstream genre of movie and isn't really a martial arts film, despite there being a few good fight scenes. Looking back at it, Chucks character is almost a prototype Walker Texas Ranger but with an 18 certification. Brian Libby is excellent as the Michael Myers-esque central villain, Ron Silver provides his usual classy established actor support and Chuck himself is emminently watchable as ever in his first movie for a major studio. Also stars a young, pre-Babylon 5, Stephen Furst. A guilty pleasure movie for me and one I've rewatched and enjoyed with friends on many occasions. Even my wife begrudgingly enjoyed it. Another perfect Friday night with the lads and a few beers Norris special. Chuck vs. Frankenstein/Micheal Myers as some have not unreasonably called it. Shame there wasn't a sequel. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/21/23 Full Review Daryl S Good Friday night watch. This is a Chuck Norris meets Michael Myers of Halloween 2. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review TK G Pure Chuck Norris Adrenaline in this action horror masterpiece. A very witty script, although the dialog might not be the best. The bar fight scene has come to be known as a classic A$$ Kicking Chuck Norris takes on a biker gang. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Read all reviews
