Another movie that demonstrates that those self describing ‘experts' getting paid to review movies are pretty clueless most of the time. The audience review / score is the correct one here. Lavish sets, beautiful period scenario and a compelling and heart warming love story. Anna Karenina it aint but its a great film for those looking to be cheered up and entertained a little.

I officially LOVE this film. Did not expect much and is now one of my favourite films ever. I really recommend this one. Amazing story, amazing actors, beautiful costumes and beautiful sets. It gets you into a winter/christmassy setting so well. I now wish I could go to Saint Petersburg during winter myself. I will show this film to all my friends and family for sure.
