Southern boy Virgil Walker (Tommy Sands) heads to New York City to show the northerners what rock 'n' roll is all about. But, despite receiving a warm reception from his adoring fans, Virgil feels lonely in the big city -- even going so far as to hire deliveryman C.K. Judd (Nick Adams) to be his friend.
