Rated: 2/5 Apr 28, 2011 Full Review Ard Vijn ScreenAnarchy "Sint" might seem no different than a "Friday the 13th" part six, seven or eight. Nevertheless there is enough madcap enthusiasm, satire and artistry put into it to still make it a very fun movie. Jan 15, 2020 Full Review David Nusair Reel Film Reviews Saint has been infused with a plodding, hopelessly humorless sensibility that inevitably drains the viewer's interest and cements the movie's place as a missed opportunity of nigh epic proportions. Rated: 1.5/4 Dec 23, 2011 Full Review Dan Lybarger KC Active There are only so many times a person can watch Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer before going mad, but after a while, pointless gore isn't much fun either. matthias s **2.5 Stars** "Sint" is such a nostalgic trip for me—I used to watch it all the time as a kid, and it’s got that unmistakable Dick Maas vibe. The plot is solid, with an awesome twist on Saint Nicholas lore that I absolutely love. The design for Saint Nick is terrifying in the best way, and Huub Stapel is completely unrecognizable, which is super impressive. But let’s be real, the acting isn’t great, and the scares are more about the creepy atmosphere than actual jump-out-of-your-seat moments. I wish Maas had leaned into the gore a bit more; it feels like it’s holding back when it could’ve gone full-on brutal. That said, the eerie vibe and cool visuals really carry it. It’s not perfect, but it’s a decent little horror flick that’s fun to revisit if you’re in the mood for something dark and festive. Flawed, but memorable. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 12/06/24 Full Review Liam D It's a killer Santa movie what do you expect and while not going to win some awards but it's a fun time Rated 4 out of 5 stars 12/03/22 Full Review Audience Member I watched this with a group of friends. We immediately laughed so hard when we saw a name of an actor on the screen. This movie was so bad! But I mean... so bad! Typically Dutch. But... it's fun. Dumb fun. The kills are dumb asf and the humor is absolutely garbage. People who laughs at when a kid gets a dildo as present for Saint-Nicholas can't miss Saint. The ending... we all screamed. Not because it was scary... it was shocking. The persons who saw the film knows were I'm talking about... 😂 Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review kyle c This is, by all accounts, a bad movie. But sometimes it's bad enough that it can be pretty entertaining. The English dubbing is atrocious but I'm honestly not sure if that helped or hurt the experience. It does have some redeeming gore and there are a few times that the humor work pretty well, but for the most part, the dialogue is horrid, the CGI is laughable, and the plot itself doesn't really make any sense. This is a good one to make fun of with friends but keep your expectations very low. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Don't expect clever writing and classy jokes. It's full of crass humor, violence and cliches to the point where it could be a Troma production. They're always hate/love types of movies depending on who watches it and Sint is no exception to that rule. I really liked it. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie succeeds in one thing and one thing alone. Trying your patience. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Read all reviews
