SITE succeeds in offering something bold and thought-provoking. Go to Full Review

Perlman begins with a pretty neat concept, but then bungles it entirely with a bunch of explanation that only makes the concept completely incomprehensible. Go to Full Review

“Site” is an ambitious, well-intentioned sci-fi thriller that fails to thrill. It bites off more than it could chew and needed better characters. Go to Full Review

Many profound issues are raised in 'Site'...but Perlman is never able to bring them together into a coherent whole.... [It] collapses under the weight of everything it’s trying to do and say, though it’s a rather fascinating, if impenetrable, failure. Go to Full Review

With its convoluted twists, the film doesn’t sufficiently justify its gimmick, nor remain grounded in reality long enough for its big ideas to become more coherent. Go to Full Review

Claudio C Nov 13 Site (2025) What a Mess! (12,059 – 12 Nov 2025 – by Claudio Carvalho) Neil Bardo (Jake McLaughlin) works with his boss and friend Garrison Vey (Theo Rossi) in commercial inspections. Neil is separated from his wife Elena Bardo (Arielle Kebbel) and they have a beloved son, Wiley (Carson Minniear). When Neil and Garrison are hired to inspect an abandoned government facility, where the owners intend to build a school. They find a laboratory and after releasing the site, Neil has visions from 1931 and 1978, endangering his life in the present. "Site" (2025) is a forgettable sci-fi movie by Jason Eric Perlman with a confusing story of time travel. Maybe only the author is capable to understand his story. But the viewers see a complete mess only. My vote is three. Really enjoyed Theo Rossi, who is just creepy enough but not in a bad way — in a good way. The music also really added to the haunted feel of the film and I was beyond impressed with all the special effects. Go see this film! You will not regret it. See more Slick R @SlickReviewer Aug 18 OK for the most part until the end. See more Stevie Y Aug 11 Took a chance on this indie film, and Site is more than just sci-fi-- it’s smart, emotional, psychological, and full of high-concept ideas. The mix of supernatural mystery and real historical events is intense but handled with care. It’s a slow build, but by the end I was hooked, reflecting on its themes of trauma, redemption, and how the past echoes into the present. I can see how some might expect a horror movie and be disappointed if they’re looking for mindless entertainment, but it’s quite the opposite. One of the most intelligent genre films I’ve seen in a while. See more Matthew C Aug 9 An ambitious sci-fi that puts its own unique spin on themes rooted in existentialism and the ripple effect of historical trauma. Site maintains its trajectory but may warrant a second watch to fully comprehend. See more Sam C Aug 9 A sci-fi thriller that keeps you guessing till the end. Solid performances by everyone in the film. This film deserves much more attention than it's getting! See more Read all reviews
