Anita Singh Daily Telegraph (UK) There was a happy ending, if you could call it that: Bryan was allowed to remain in his own country. But the film left us in no doubt about the emotional toll. Rated: 4/5 Jun 9, 2020 Full Review Carol Midgley Times (UK) This was hugely affecting drama, but I would have liked to have seen in it more of the politicians who drove this policy rather than the faceless uniformed guards who had to implement it at the sharp end. Rated: 4/5 Jun 9, 2020 Full Review Sean O'Grady Independent (UK) A gripping, upsetting and tenderly told dramatic memoir of one man's ordeal during the Windrush scandal. Its timing could not have been better. Rated: 5/5 Jun 9, 2020 Full Review Roger Moore Movie Nation A British immigration debacle that is the very definition of "Kafkaesque nightmare." Rated: 2.5/4 May 27, 2021 Full Review Ella Kemp Culture Whisper Sitting in Limbo doesn't aim to warp the truth, to glorify any one party. This isn't about rewriting history, it's about making sure the true mistakes and hardships are finally given the weight they deserve. Rated: 4/5 Jun 29, 2020 Full Review Euan Ferguson Observer (UK) An absorbing, rewatchable drama that quietly told loud truths, and wore its anger remarkably lightly.
