Jonathan Zwickel Seattle Times A warmhearted, quietly ambitious film. Rated: 3.5/4 Jul 2, 2010 Full Review David Gritten Daily Telegraph (UK) One hesitates to over-praise such a delicate, small-scale work, but Whitfield seems like a major talent. Rated: 4/5 Jul 2, 2010 Full Review Peter Bradshaw Guardian Balancing oddity and fantasy with real emotions and pain is a difficult trick to pull off. Whitfield has managed it nicely. Rated: 4/5 Jul 1, 2010 Full Review Amie Simon Three Imaginary Girls Packed with crisp British humor and touching moments, Skeletons may lose you a few times during some of the trippier memory sequences, but hang in there. Its charm will win you over by the end. Mar 9, 2019 Full Review Molly Templeton Eugene Weekly (OR) The way [Nick] Whitfield never bounds his characters' existences with biography, gives Skeletons the resonance of a short story that contains an entire life, painted on a tiny canvas but composed of vital details that tell all the important truths. Feb 27, 2019 Full Review Graham Young Birmingham Post It's decidedly low budget, but sufficiently inventive enough to have won the Michael Powell prize for being the best of British at the Edinburgh Film Festival. Rated: 3/5 Aug 12, 2010 Full Review Read all reviews

mark r Brilliant, quirky comedy-drama. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Bring some subtle existentialism into a timeless frame of English countryside, add it with psychic exorcism slash astral time migration Roald Dahl style, and then a dash of Terry Gilliam or perhaps Emir Kusturica humor together with Bulgarian music, and it's truly not very easy to tell what you get. Something special and almost great. One thing is certain, it's out of the ordinary, and the acting and cinematography is very good. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member A quirky and interesting tale. Not outstanding in any area, but a very pleasant way to spend 90 minutes. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Enjoyed this film so much since the first time I stumbled across it. Very funny, a bit silly, and also quite sad. But with a happy ending too. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Audience Member Creative, funny and touching. This film just works from all angles. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Quirky, off beat and charming. Holds the interest throughout with strong cast & characters, and an unpredictable plot. Absolutely loved it Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Read all reviews
