Before Jokicho can find Kunisada, he runs into a knife throwing assassin that was hired by Kunisada to kill Jokicho. Just as the assassin begins to duel with Jokicho, they are attacked. The assassin cannot defend himself due to his condition of tuberculosis. Jokichi decides to help the assassin hired to kill him. The storyline for this picture was the best of the trilogy. The story of the man dying from tuberculosis, and the man assigned to be killed by him saving him, was remarkable. The acting was solid and everyone delivered believable performances. I purchased all three of these pictures at a decent price off eBay. The films were okay and entertaining, but they were not as good as the Zatoichi, Samurai, or Lone Wolf and Cub series. I would honestly say this was the best film in the series. This series is worth watching, but only after seeing the three series referenced above.
