This is not a perfect film, but I don't expect that from a superhero film. I want solid characters, convincing acting and solid action. The fact that this film gives all of that while being centered in the black experience makes it a must-see.

Its about a street Magican and drug dealer. i dare say the writers dont know anything more about street magic or drug dealers than what youd learn from a quick scroll on tiktok.

A near-perfect indie movie with the perfect amount of sci-fi ingredients. I love how the writer did not shy away from any of the risky concepts that would have been edited out by less confident hands. The plot took things in an interesting direction, but everything still landed in the end. The acting is superb, the writing is surprisingly fresh, and there was no waste. The final images are brilliant because they happen in the viewer's imagination, but it still somehow works because the movie has earned it. Prepare to have faith in indie fims again.

A clever blend of rap, mature characters who make mistakes & sci fi. I really wanted to like this movie, but it refused to be liked. Did I nod off or can someone explain the plot? Thought I understood until the end.
