Audience Member Slightly Single in LA had its moments but it didn't add up to a great film. The numerous characters featured were all good, they all brought a little something to the table but nobody was a stand out star. The concept was simple, a girl likes a rock star guy, but is afraid to pursue him and things go from there. The plot just seemed to flow along at the same pace the entire time and even though it was 88 minutes long, it seemed to last for hours. The romance between the 2 main characters never seemed that strong and even with the "expected" ending, the love just never seemed real. There were a few laughs here and there but the dialogue got lame at times and some scenes were very boring. The characters just never seemed believable because of some of the dumb choices they made and that really took away from the whole feel of the film. This is just a very average film with a good cast but it can easily be skipped over. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member the storyline is not interesting. and one big problem that i see with many hollywood films is that they don't hire asian actors whether it is about current or future time. this film happened in los angeles, but throughout this film, i didn't see any asian faces! this is just plain and simple wrong. i don't even see asian people in the background. when foreign people watch it, they probably think that los angeles is a big city with lots of white people, that is simply not the case. no wonder asians hardly ever won any oscar awards, because they are never hired! simon rex acted as a foreign italian guy, but in reality, there are far more foreign-born asian guys in los angeles. this film would feel more authentic if it had inter-racial dating. there are just too many white people films, so this one just doesn't stand out. hollywood will never hire any asian actors if people are not even aware of this serious problem. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Audience Member So baaaaaaad .... Soooooo baaaaaad. One of the worst films I have ever seen Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Poor indoor audio recording and mixing, lackluster plot and hollow characters make for a very forgettable film. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review don s A slightly better than average rom-com that works mostly due to the unending charm of Lacey Chabert. It is formulaic and corny, but she plays it so sweetly and innocently she really touched me. There isn't anything new here, it just seemed fresher. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Another typical netflix movie. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Read all reviews
