Lazarus' film might not be all that engaging as a piece of cinema, but it's a worthy examination of a classic scientist trying to make strides for the human race while living in a post-modern world that doesn't always care.

Director Paul Lazarus devotes much of the running time to constructing Kamen's cult of personality. He's variously shown to be a Steve Jobs-type visionary, a Bill Gates-type philanthropist and a John du Pont-type eccentric.

This is a nice overview of Dean Kamen's life and work. He is an example of what we are capable of creating through science. We should use more people like him and hopefully through FIRST, we will have more people like him.

This is a terrible movie, we watched it on last day of school and it made me want to kill myself. Besides the fact that it was edited in imovie and looks like crap, this guy is no einstein and tbh nobody cares about this segway nerd

Unobtanium, unreliablum, expensium. Dean Kagan, inventor of the segway is fascinating to watch as he describes his newest invention, the slingshot. A machine that could bring clean water to the masses.
