Lexi F This movie was interesting and somehow light, despite the really heavy subject matter. Joey King is incredible and her approach to that character totally made that movie. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Audience Member Good watch, made it through the whole movie so that's something. Crude version of catcher in the rye vibes. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member This film is all over the place, but by the middle you are just hooked on this wild adventure. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 08/15/20 Full Review Audience Member I like a Joey King movie, she's a fantastic actress, and this movie wouldn't have been what it was without her, but this is a weird premise. I can't tell if this is supposed to be real Los Angeles, a hyperbolic version, or some dystopian futre, but it feels like this weird place where only super rich people, gang bangers, junkies and hookers exist. World building aside, the cast is mostly forgettable, if entertaining, characters with the "rich girl slumming" as the chief character in what turns out to be a series of mini-adventures set upon her as an attempt to keep the status quo. It feels like there is no lessons or morale to any of the story, other than don't be someone who contributes to the world in this movie, but it's the main character that purposely ventures into this (at a decent personal cost). Confusing at is may be, it's a decent watch, I enjoyed it, but will likely never watch it again. Take it or leave it. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member White people problems. This movie is definitely racist, it uses the N-word within the first 30 seconds. All of the bad people are black or Hispanic, and win the blonde girl saw a black dude at the skate park the first words out of her mouth were I should join a gang. They portrayed all the black people as loud/ghetto and Hispanics as drug dealing chulos. Then for some reason she decides to smoke crack just out there on the street, and acts like it was no big deal. This is definitely the life of a privileged white girl who is bored and has nothing better to do in her life so she decides to do the dumbest shit possible and annoy everyone she comes in contact with on the way Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member Definitely different. Not a lot of backstory to each character but entertaining nontheless. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Read all reviews
