A noble attempt to honour the resilience of Ukrainians and the courage of ordinary people like Voronin, fighting for freedom. Go to Full Review

It's well-made, a real explosion of a war movie -- but it's nationalistic. Go to Full Review

Its release arrives as troubling reports on Russia’s invasion of the country break almost daily, and the movie’s themes of nationalism, rage and resilience resonate even as its glassiness holds viewers at a distance. Go to Full Review

If there’s one takeaway outside of solid acting and a satisfying conclusion, it’s that the process of becoming a sniper and how one lives and operates is properly explored here. Go to Full Review

Avoids touching upon human complexity: classic war movies know how to portray nuanced characters behind the enemy lines, even within the Nazis; but here, that just doesn't happen. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

Sniper: The White Raven, which takes place during Ukraine's Donbas conflict, is one of the dullest war movies you'll ever see. The movie becomes cliché-ridden, with acting as hollow and action as trite as anything in a shoddy video game. Go to Full Review

Bandera 07/08/2022 This movie provided a very accurate and chilling depiction of Russias criminal invasion of Ukraine. See more Randy N Sep 3 Excellent movie. Although originally filmed using Ukrainian language, the version I watched was over-dubbed in English, making it very easy to watch and understand. This film is very well done. It rivals the cinematography of anything produced by Hollywood. See more Robert A May 13 Brilliantly filmed, emotionally powerful, this is one of the best movies about the Russian war in Ukraine. Despite not knowing Russian and seeing the movie in subtitles in Croatian, I was mesmerized by the story, the acting and the truly amazing cinematography. If you can find it with English subtitles you will be well rewarded! See more P M May 1 I would have given this movie a higher rating but it was impossible to watch the action and read the subtitles. I would sooner have shitty voice dubbing than subtitles. See more Abderrazak B 12/09/2024 Très bon film Aussi la fin ca serait très bon début d'un autre film aussi bon avec le même acteur principal et le même réalisateur See more Callaway H 10/03/2024 A little cheesy early on but a good, relevant, war movie See more Read all reviews
