      Critics Consensus

Though it features one of Dwayne Johnson's more thoughtful performances, the presentation of Snitch's underlying message is muddled by lackluster storytelling and some tonal inconsistencies.

Mark K Consider me eccentric, but I find it surprising that this movie has a 60% rating. Dwayne Johnson, known for his excellence, carries this film exceptionally well, maintaining a compelling pace. I strongly recommend watching it. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 10/05/23 Full Review Musical F Decent movie with a prudent relatable and realistic plot. Not great by any means but worth a watch Rated 3 out of 5 stars 09/10/23 Full Review David Good movie to kill an hour and 45 minutes. Acting was good - dialogue could have been better. Totally didn’t understand the scene with all those midgets - made no sense to the plot and came out of nowhere. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 09/04/23 Full Review George H This was 1:45 I'll never get back. I guess if you like Hollywood endings and unrealistic drug cartels then, this is a movie for you. Being a Snitch would bring a lot more problems for your family then was depicted in this movie. I understand it was based on true events but, maybe they should read the paper and find out what happens to you and yours if you double cross the Juarez cartel. It's Hollywood I get it but for once I'd like them to show a little more realism and, a little less "Hollywood". Dwayne Johnson should stick to action movies I just couldn't buy him being a subdued father. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 09/03/23 Full Review William L Must See! I loved the plot and the character development. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/26/23 Full Review Ashlee D Good movie. Story was portrayed good. Dwayne Johnson did better than some of his other movies. Felt like he actually tried to be better. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Wesley Morris Grantland Snitch runs close to two hours, and it's a credit to Summit Entertainment that they didn't reduce it to 90 minutes of Mexican drug loons trying to run John's truck off the highway. Jan 6, 2014 Full Review Charlotte O'Sullivan London Evening Standard Snitch wants to be Breaking Bad. When the camera's on Johnson, it's just bad. Rated: 2/5 Jun 22, 2013 Full Review Mark Kermode Observer (UK) Teeth are gritted, shaven-heads stroked, families hugged, moist-eyes blinked - but it's the sight of big things getting smashed to pieces that endures, and ultimately bores. Jun 22, 2013 Full Review Keith Garlington Keith & the Movies A surprisingly slick and intense thriller but one with very little staying power. Rated: 3/5 Aug 25, 2022 Full Review Mike Massie Gone With The Twins It's almost as if the film is trying to detail the manner in which inexperienced players inevitably lose out to both sides of the law.
