Part of the fun of So Fine is the way it plays fast and loose with comic modes; since you're never sure what's coming next, every scene provides a surreal twist. Go to Full Review

09/26/2021 When somebody says that's so fine they're happy about what's going on at the moment, whatever is so eye-catching or trendy When it comes to a pair of jeans it can turn into a phenomenon Ryan O' Neil, the late Jack Warden, and the late Richard Kiel in a comedy seeing the 'business end' of people actually the beginning of something Bobby is a professor that sees his father's garment business is struggling Jack is trying his hardest to save the business but his ideas are running low and his credit is running on fumes Bobby then meets a beautiful married woman, he's fully aware of the situation he's getting into but didn't count on her husband being big and intimidating The husband is named Eddie, a loan shark who demands payment from Jack Bobby sneaks out to avoid getting caught and in the process rips his jeans from behind Suddenly this grabs the attention of everyone at work and he and his father hatch an idea; they start to sell open-jeans, jeans that actually show buttocks in public This movie is very funny but the jeans plot line gets lost along the way And the climax takes so long to wrap up Just a weird experience for a 1980s comedy See more 02/01/2021 How do you go with such a bland title when "plastic moon" was right there for the taking? See more 06/17/2008 Despite a lot of dumb humor, this movie has the best comic English department ever. Plus, it's set in my hometown! (Seriously: author Andrew Bergman went to Binhamton.) See more 01/05/2008 The plot basically takes that scene from BRINGING UP BABY where Cary Grant tears the back of his pants and uses it as a jumping-off point as a "what-if" (a similar accident ends with O'Neal creating a sensation for see-through pockets in designer jeans). There's also lots of 80s fashions and a chintzy Ennio Morricone score to keep one marginally interested. See more Read all reviews
