Starts out good, but it devolves into an incoherent mess. And I saw the last movie by the same director, so I knew what type of style to expect going in. Without giving anything away, the best way to explain this are the multiple phone calls from one of the main characters in the early scenes. She just moans on and on vaguely when any person really in a similar scenario would only need 3 words to convey why. Then it gets worse - the plot in particular. I can't even understand how the critics sat through this to the end...doubting they even did. It's borderline criminal that this film is sitting here on RT with a 93% critic score. I can't decide if I'm more upset with the time or $ lost renting this. I'll be avoiding anything edited and directed by those involved going forward.
