Liam D A different take on the supernatural slasher with some very uncomfortable elements to it Rated 3 out of 5 stars 04/23/22 Full Review Landon J Overall its a revenge film that gives you no reason to care about the end result. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 11/14/21 Full Review Audience Member Decent watch, might watch again, but can't honestly recommend. This is not a great movie, and it is impressive breaking in the sense that it takes real problems and an example of awful real places, so it's hard to get on board right away. Once the setting is established, the majority of what's good about the movie is the ridiculously gratuitous gore and violence being exacted on the horrible characters. By far, Sierra McCormick is the best actor in this movie. She does such a good job exemplifying a tragic ghost, but since all the adults are just awful, and there are only 2 decent actors out of the rest of the teens, it is a little hard to tell how good she is. Again, this is more of an elaborate survival situation, which is more of an excuse show teens getting slashed. So if that doesn't work for you, don't watch this. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member It starts super slow, but works itself into a quite bloody revenge horror movie. Worth the watch, especially for those who know about cutting and people with borderline personality disorder. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member In true this is a comic movie, but the director's diden't know it..... Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member poor supernatural horror where a bullied boy raises an evil spirit to combat his bullies. Tom Long Detroit News The message here is clear: Bullies are bad and so are razor-wielding ghosts. Almost as bad as this movie. Rated: D Sep 18, 2015 Full Review Helen T. Verongos New York Times "Some Kind of Hate" succeeds at being discomfiting, and Mr. Rubinstein's role is played well, but the film, directed by Adam Egypt Mortimer, simply does not cohere. Sep 17, 2015 Full Review Gary Goldstein Los Angeles Times "Some Kind of Hate" is some kind of mess. Sep 17, 2015 Full Review Emilie Black Cinema Crazed While the scares and gore is on the lower end, the blood is plentiful and satisfying which makes the film a more successful revenge movie than a horror one. Rated: 4/5 Apr 19, 2020 Full Review Joey Keogh Wicked Horror Some Kind Of Hate seems like it has something important to say but then doesn't really say much of anything at all. Rated: 4/10 Oct 2, 2019 Full Review Abbie Bernstein Assignment X It's not hugely ambitious or even original, but it succeeds in all that it attempts. Rated: B Dec 7, 2018 Full Review Read all reviews
