In this hilarious comedy, Dave (Barry Watson), Adam (Michael Rosenbaum), and Doofer (Harland Williams) are about to go where no fraternity boy has gone before. In Touchstone Pictures' "Sorority Boys," our heroes are three playboy chauvinists who, strapped for cash, find themselves drawn to one last, desperate hope for free housing: one of their campus' sororities, Delta Omicron Gamma (or D.O.G.).

Critics Consensus

A sloppy fratboy movie, Sorority Boys offers up a parade of gross-out gags and sex jokes, while insulting and ogling women.

Tim Cogshell Boxoffice Magazine The members manage to pronounce KOK exactly as you think they might, thus giving the cast ample opportunity to use that term as often as possible. It's very Beavis and Butthead, yet always seems to elicit a chuckle. Rated: 3/5 Mar 24, 2002 Full Review Marjorie Baumgarten Austin Chronicle The logic of it all will be Greek to anyone not predisposed to the movie's rude and crude humor. Rated: 1/5 Mar 24, 2002 Full Review Dave Nuttycombe Washington Post Merely (and literally) tosses around sex toys and offers half-hearted paeans to empowerment that are repeatedly undercut by the brutality of the jokes, most at women's expense. Jan 21, 2022 Full Review Andrew Galdi Movie Bitches While we're not sure there was much merit to begin with, this movie definitely did not age well. Mike L This movie is criminally underrated. It has easily become one of my favorite weird 2000's comedys and doesn't deserve the negativity thrown its way. It is well deserving of your time at least once. It will surprise you Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/16/24 Full Review Mike P With all due respect to Michael Rosenbaum and his "Inside of You" podcast, this is pretty bad. But to be fair, Michael, drag comedies tend to get slammed..(They tend to be a drag). The only good ones I can think of are Victor Victoria, Yentl, Tootsie and Some Like it Hot. You'd be better off watching one of those. If you want to want to watch Michael Rosenbaum in a GOOD costume drama...Watch the Guardians of the Galaxy; which is also comedic, also features him wearing a costume...and is much better than this. Overall thumbs down 👎 this drag comedy is a drag Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/08/24 Full Review Jasmine T Love this movie, it's Sooooo funny! 😂 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/30/24 Full Review Deanna O A funny comedy with serious scenes where the boys learn to view woman entirely differently from their previous doglike views. A great movie, plenty of funny, cute, sweet and serious scenes so you get a blend of everything. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 05/18/23 Full Review Audience Member It's a very funny movie with lots of college humour like dildo fights and cross dressing. I would not recommend this to an uptight PC because this movie would piss a lot of sensitive people. I would recommend this to someone with a sense of humour and can get the logic that phrat and sororities are a joke in the first place. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member This is a typical 2000 movie along side with American Pie, She's All That ETC, those type of films. It has good laughs in this film, rude, funny, and just pure idiotic. The movie it has its moments but ends up being good, with good humor, and it would keep you laughing until the end, but for me it was ok, Not your typical comedy, really solid film, what can you expect from the 2000 movies , it is a typical film, so for that I give " Sorority Boys " a C-.
