As directed by Mark Gantt, “Soul Mates” is watchable semi-extreme trash. It’s not as good as the best “Saw” films, but it’s better than the worst of them.

It’s twisted, it’s cruel, it’s a bit much at times, but it’s exactly as expected if one looks at it as a torture porn film. The tasks’ violence is rather well thought out and there is some level of surprise throughout the film...

Director Mark Gantt stages the sequences shrewdly, for maximum effect, and keeps the pace propulsive. He also provides a sense of scope and possibility on what looks like it was a tight budget. Gore isn’t pervasive, but it’s punchy when it happens.

Haven't stopped thinking of the twist! As I watched I kept thinking something is up, this can't be what it seems, but I was not expecting that. Thought it looked great for a clearly low budget outing, but damn, good stuff.

Lack in story, Bad acting and premise that is so unbelievable it seemed like a joke on the screen. Simply put this was a very boring movie. I wish I could get my money back or at least a credit ticket for another film. Do NOT waste your time with this. Thx.

Came for Charlie Weber, stayed for the ride. And a ride it was. The film really builds momentum and by the end, I didn't see the twist coming. Loved it!

The movie was great and tbh I was glad with the happy ending until the plot twist slapped me in the face and said 'Girl thas horror/thriller genre, u never get good endings in these kinda movies' and I was like 'Oh, typeshi'

There will of course be review comparisons between Soul Mates and the Saw franchise and whilst some of those comparisons might make sense and be a little justified, once you get to the end of the film, you will see that Soul Mates does stand on its own and is its own entity and far from another Saw imitator. So if you fancy checking out a non franchise/remake/reboot horror film that will keep you very much entertained and deliver enough guts, gore, and ‘what would i do in that situation' puzzles for you to think about. I do recommend Soul Mates. Treat yourself for 90 mins. I did and I got out alive!
