Simon T Even if you know nothing about high-end wine or the strange businessmen who trade in it, this is still a fascinating if familiar exposé of yet another Ponzi scheme masterminded by a crook. This particular crook is young and Chinese, appears from nowhere and charms his way into the confidence of several wealthy wine collectors. In vino stupiditas. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/17/25 Full Review Grant J. A light and fun blend of SOMM and a true crime doc. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 09/14/25 Full Review Rob W It's FAR too long! We pretty much know early on what the outcome will be; and other than some family surprises near the end there isn't much worth watching in the film. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 08/31/25 Full Review eduardo b The topic of the documentary is amazing and the production is honest about it but it felt like it felt short of really uncovering the really interesting story behind it. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 05/23/23 Full Review Audience Member The greatest 01 hour: and 26 minutes with real footage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review s r I saw this after reading about Petrus Winery in an autobiography by Stevan Pierce. When reading about it I read an article about the amazing history of the winery and this movie was cited. It was Informative and interesting despite it being predictable. I was sad when they destroyed all the bottles of fake wine since they would have been collector's items. I think Rudy would be interesting to meet and he should start his own winery given his great palette. It was on Hulu. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews
