Southern rural small town Georgia where they still had segregated high school proms until 2011. Shows the racial polarity as it still exists as exposed by the shooting of a black teen by an old white man in the midst of a close sheriff's race by the black chief of police for the county's biggest town.
There's alot more nuance & liberal thinking than first appears at the begining of the show, but, really, 1yr for murder of a late night booty call perp still seems to favor white sensibilities over black justice.
