Audience Member The difficulties of a hot-tempered immigrant wife in a foreign land, and the repercussions of infidelity, neglect and unresolved emotions. the blank daughter just didn't seem convincing. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member I so want to give this film a great review but I'm just not articulate enough! Just see it - don't read the synopsis - way better if you have no idea what's ahead. So quirk-tastic and not your regular 'Aussie' movie at all. Watch the production extras afterwards as well. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member Dark comedy. Definitely both, but much darker than it is comical. I liked the '60s period setting, with a brightly lit modern refinery looming over everything. Probably a budget thing, but it adds a visually pleasing slight surreal edge. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Audience Member Watched this film in Blue Mountains back in 2007. It was quite good. Very funny mostly. Never knew it was Australian when they never spoke English, but Spanish. Though it had too much obscenities and unnecessary sex scenes.
