While the plot is hackneyed, its general outlines depict the life of Louis with slight variations for theatrical effect and the moviegoer will find keen delight in watching him slash his way with rights and lefts to the heavyweight championship. Joe is listed as the star but the burden of the acting falls on the professionals -- Clarence Muse, Cleo Desmond and Mantan Moreland...
